This is the Word that came up in my spirit while we were praying with our staff on Tuesday about what to do. The Apostle Paul was writing from prison to Timothy, his son in the faith. It seemed that he was restricted in what he could do to minister to people under the circumstances. But he wrote a letter to Timothy and “who knew!” that God was actually using Paul to reach untold millions of people! Because of his obedience, and the amazing invention of the printing press hundreds of years later, that letter is now in our New Testament! Now, through the amazing invention of the cell phone, you can download it and carry it in your pocket everywhere you go! There is no telling what God can do during this time because of the reach of the internet; we can spread God’s Word to potential millions in moments! When Paul wrote to the church at Philippi, while under house arrest, he said, “But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel.”(Philippians 1:12) Because Paul didn’t give up, but continued to maximize his opportunities, not only did the entire palace guard hear the gospel, we now have the books of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon! And, btw, in those letters we have “the Pauline Prayers” (Ephesians 1:15-23;3:24-21, Philippians 1:4-6,9-11, Colossians 1:9-14) I’m praying these prayers for you today! Keep moving forward in faith, being led by His Spirit, doing what you know to do, and don’t underestimate how God is using you, and use us together, during this current crisis!
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”(Ephesians 3:20)
