David Shearin and his wife Vicki, are the Founders and Senior Pastors of Word of Life Christian Center. They were married in August of 1982 and then moved to Las Vegas in December and started the church with just 5 people in a home. The church has grown from 5 people to over 2,000 and continues to reach out through various ministries, including a weekly television broadcast.

We are committed to reaching Las Vegas and the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ, teaching believers who they are in Christ and equipping them to serve their generation in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Word of Life Christian Center is a non-denominational, multi-cultural church. Non-denominational simply means we are open or acceptable to people of any Christian denomination.
We are a church for all people, committed to worshipping God in Spirit and in truth, reaching Las Vegas and the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ, and teaching believers the message of faith and who they are in Christ in order to equip them to serve their generation in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is the sum of all of our beliefs. He’s the reason we exist, He is the purpose and explanation of life. He is to date the most famous person in all of human history. More songs have been sung to him, artwork created of him, and books written about him than anyone who’s ever lived. He is the answer to man’s desperate need for salvation. Sin separated us from God, but because of His great love for us, he sent His Son Jesus to give His life as a sacrifice to pay the price for our sin. Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with you!
